Eyes Are on the Prize in Las Vegas

JONES AT LAS VEGAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY:  Brandon Jones and the No. 19 Juniper Networks Toyota team are on a roll as they head out west to Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the second time this season.  This is the right time to be peaking, because this is the cutoff race for the Round of 12 for the Xfinity Series playoffs.  The 19 team is coming off very strong back-to-back top-10 performances and are carrying this momentum to another strong track for Jones.

JGR AT LAS VEGAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY: JGR has 53 total starts at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in the NXS, earning two wins, 15 top-five finishes, 26 top-10 finishes and five pole-starting positions. The team has led 772 laps, completed 9.995 of 10,673 attempted laps (93.6%) and earned an average start of 11.0 and an average finish of 13.8. Kyle Busch won both races for JGR in 2016 and 2019.

Brandon Jones: “After having one of the best cars we’ve had all season and running extremely competitive in Indy, I have my eyes on the prize going into Vegas this weekend. Las Vegas Motor Speedway is one of our best mile and a half tracks for our Juniper Networks team. We were really fast there earlier this year, so we’ll unload with a nearly identical setup this weekend. Typically, the top lane comes in during the race, but they’re expecting temperatures up over 100 degrees on race day, so that brings in a few unknowns with how the track will react. I’ll spend some time this week re-watching and studying the spring race to see what quirks and nuances I can pick up on. We all have pretty high expectations for this race after our last few weekends, so hopefully we can end the day with our No. 19 team in victory lane.”
