From the Cockpit:Brandon Jones: “I am eager to get back to the track in Chicago after having a week off to regroup. This is a track where I’ve always been able to find speed, and our Menards / Bali team has built some really fast cars already this year. I’ll also have the Truck race before the Xfinity race this weekend, so I should have plenty of laps before the green flag waves on Saturday. The one thing I really love about Chicagoland Speedway is the different grooves. The bottom groove gets so hot from other cars running on it, that toward the end of the race, you’re forced to move around and use the top groove to look for grip.”
