Momentum Builds Heading into Pocono

POCONO:  Brandon Jones is coming off back to back top-10 finishes as he heads to the Tricky Triangle buried in the Pocono Mountains this weekend.  Jones and the No. 19 team will be back in the Juniper Networks colors and look to carry the momentum to the unique 2.5-mile track.  Jones has had success there with an eighth place finish in 2016 in the Xfinity Series and two impressive starts in the ARCA Menards Racing Series finishing third in 2016, and won the pole and finished second in 2017.

JUNIPER’S FUTURE RACES WITH JONES: Juniper Networks will be the primary sponsor for Jones for three more races after this weekend at Pocono Raceway, Las Vegas Motor Speedway (Sept. 14), Charlotte Motor Speedway (Sept. 28) and the finale at Homestead (Nov 16).

JGR AT POCONO: JGR has earned one win in nine NASCAR Xfinity Series starts at Pocono Raceway and has earned four top-five and six top-10 finishes. The championship-winning organization has an average start of 6.7 and an average finish of 11.9.

Brandon Jones: “We had an exceptionally strong car in Charlotte last weekend, which definitely builds the momentum our No. 19 team feels heading into the tricky triangle at Pocono Raceway. The race track is very unique, since there are three very different corners. I actually consider Pocono to be more like a road course than an oval. In turn 1, you’re carrying the most speed before you get there, but it also has the most banking. Turn 2 always scares you because the banking is less, but you’re trying not to lift. Turn 3 is very long and wide, so having patience is key to that corner. I’ve come very close to winning at Pocono in an ARCA car, so I’m hoping that I’ll be able to pull from that experience and drive our Juniper Networks Supra to victory lane.”
