Back to Roots with Short Track Race

JONES AT PHOENIX: This weekend will be Brandon Jones’ sixth NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) start at Phoenix, but there have been some big changes on the one-mile oval since his last visit. With only two races left in the 2018 season, the No. 19 team is only focused on driving to the front.

Brandon Jones: “I am really excited to return to ISM Raceway to witness all the changes they’ve made to the track. With the start/finish line repositioned to just before the dog leg, I think it will change how we approach the track and will change the dynamic of the race a bit. Getting to work on the TRD simulator and having that extra time to learn the track will be really helpful coming into the weekend with our No. 19 Toyota Service Centers / Mobil 1 team. Short track racing is how I got started in my career, so it’s always fun to get back to my roots with that style of racing.”

Chris Gabehart: “Everyone on the No. 19 Toyota Service Centers/Mobile 1 Toyota Camry team is excited to get out and see the renovation at the ISM Raceway in Phoenix. Phoenix is always a great place to go visit and puts on great racing. With the fantastic renovation job, they have completed we are certain this will be one of the best yet!”
