Post-Race Highlights:

Brandon Jones and the No. 19 Toyota Service Centers/Mobil 1 Toyota Camry traveled to ISM Raceway for the 32nd race on the 2018 NASCAR Xfinity Series schedule. Jones and the No. 19 team were happy with their Camry during Friday’s practice sessions. On Saturday morning, Jones was able to qualify his red, black and white Camry in the seventh position. This was Jones’ 16th top-10 of the 2018 season.

The green flag flew just past 3:30 p.m. ET and Jones quickly reported a tight-handling machine. However, the young driver was able to maintain a top-10 position during Stage 1 of the Whelen Trusted to Perform 200. During the caution period crew chief Chris Gabehart summoned his driver to pit road for four tires, fuel and adjustments. Unfortunately, Jones was forced to the rear of the field because of an uncontrolled tire during the stop. He took the Stage 2 restart 23rd.

With a fast race car, Jones was able to slowly work his way up the scoring pylon. He was 18th on lap 63, 15th on lap 78 and was scored 13th at the end of the stage. Jones once again came down pit to the attention of his over-the-wall crew. A small hiccup on pit road saw Jones restart 19th on lap 97.

Several caution flags flew over the final 100 laps of the race and Jones was able to take advantage. Jones was listed ninth on lap 144 and fourth with just 50 laps remaining in the race. In the closing laps, Jones No. 19 Camry migrated to the tight side and he was able to cross the finish line seventh.

Jones’ Joe Gibbs Racing team captured the win, followed by Daniel Hemric, Matt Tifft, Austin Cindric and Ryan Preece.

Jones and the No. 19 Juniper team head to Homestead-Miami Speedway next weekend for the final race of the 2018 season. Coverage of the race begins on Saturday, November 17th at 3:30 PM ET live on NBCSN, MRN and Sirius XM NASCAR radio.
