Jones started the Drive for the Cure 200 at 3:13pm ET from the 22nd position. The team’s strategy was to stay out of trouble and wait out the carnage and attrition, which never happened.

Jones fought a loose Camry during the entire race. He raced around 20th the majority of Stage 1 and finished the stage in 18th. He started Stage 2 from the 17th spot and ended the stage in the 12th position.

The final stage went green on lap 33 and Jones survived three late race cautions to bring his No. 19 Juniper Networks Toyota Camry home in 22nd as he crossed the start/finish line on the wild card race planted in the middle of the first round of the NXS playoffs.

Chase Briscoe won the race followed by Justin Marks, Austin Cindric, Ryan Preece and Christopher Bell.
