Kicking Off the Playoffs in Richmond

IN THE SPOTLIGHT: The NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) Playoffs will kick-off this weekend at Richmond Raceway. This will be the first race in the Round of 12 and Brandon Jones has clinched a postseason spot by points. Jones finished a career-high sixth place finish there earlier this season. The No. 19 team is going into Richmond with a lot of momentum coming off of two consecutive impressive top-10 finishes.

JUNIPER’S FUTURE RACES WITH JONES: This is Juniper Networks third season with JGR and they will be the primary sponsor for Jones for two more races after this weekend at Richmond. They will be the sponsor at Charlotte Motor Speedway (Sep. 29) and the finale at Homestead (Nov. 17).

Brandon Jones: “Richmond Raceway is one of the toughest short tracks that we visit. After finishing sixth there earlier this year, I have a lot of confidence going back there this fall. Richmond is a track that we will spend extra time on at the Toyota simulator to work on throttle and breaking technique. I’m excited to have Juniper Networks back on our Toyota Camry. I think this will be a great first race of our Xfinity Series playoffs, there will be a lot of energy and excitement around the race, especially with us racing under the lights.”

Chris Gabehart: “The NASCAR Xfinity Series playoffs kickoff this weekend in Richmond and the No. 19 Juniper Networks Toyota Camry team is ready and looking forward to this exciting time of the season. We had a solid run at Richmond earlier this year at what has been a tough track for Brandon in the past. We are confident we are a stronger race team now and feel good about our chances of starting the playoffs off with a solid top-five run.”
