From the Cockpit:
Brandon Jones: “It seems like every time we come to a road course, we get a little better than our last race. Watkins Glen is by far the fastest road course that we come to, and because of the high speeds and fewer elevation changes, it doesn’t require you to be quite as technical with your driving style. This is a week where we’ll really utilize our time at the TRD simulator and we’ll definitely use the driver re-courses that are available to us. We have a lot of road racing coming up this month, and I think this is a great track to get us back in the swing of things.”

From the Pitbox:
Chris Gabehart: “Road course season is upon us and the challenges are unique. But given Brandon’s ability to improve on his weaknesses from previous years, everyone on the No.19 team is excited to get up to the beautiful countryside of Watkins Glen, NY and try our hand at some road racing. With the Roval at Charlotte Motor Speedway being a playoff race this year, this stretch of races will provide an excellent opportunity to hone our road racing skills for the playoffs.”
