Brandon Jones and the No. 33 Tide / Menards Chevrolet team finished 13th at Kentucky Speedway on Saturday night. After unloading strong, the Tide / Menards team qualified in the 14th position. Jones spent a lot of time running in and around the top 10 during the race’s opening laps, however his forward drive was slowed a bit as he was forced down on the apron following a restart and later had his car getting progressively freer. Utilizing pit strategy to fight for track position, the Tide / Menards team also focused on dialing in their Chevrolet for the closing laps. By the time the checkered flag waved, Jones was scored in the 13th position.

“We fired off really strong in practice on Friday with our No. 33 Tide / Menards Chevrolet. I thought it was the best we’ve unloaded at a 1.5-mile track. Unfortunately, it didn’t transfer over to the race like we thought it would. It wasn’t the day we were expecting. We got caught up in a couple incidents early on there, which got us in a bit of a hole where we couldn’t capitalize on anything. Good job to my guys though. I’m looking forward to our next shot at an intermediate track.”

This weekend, the XFINITY Series will travel to Dover International Speedway on Saturday, September 30 for the Use Your Melon. Drive Sober 200. NBCSN will carry a live broadcast of the event beginning at 3 p.m. ET, while radio coverage will be provided by MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90.
