From the Cockpit

“Coming off a strong weekend at Texas Motor Speedway where we qualified great and got a lot of stage points, it gives me an extra boost of confidence going into a race at a track where I have so many laps. Between the K&N Pro Series East, the Camping World Truck Series and the Xfinity Series, I’ve been racing at Bristol Motor Speedway for years now. The track is so fast and always puts on a great show. It’ll be interesting to see how the bottom and top lines will work against each other because of the PJ1 compound that gets laid on the bottom groove. Luckily, we’ve found ways to mimic that at the TRD simulator, so I think we’ll unload a fast Menards Turtle Wax Toyota Camry this weekend.” – Brandon Jones

From the Pit Box

“Everyone on the No. 19 Menards Toyota Camry team is really excited about the speed we showed at Texas. Brandon did a great job all weekend guiding us towards making the car better and showing the speed necessary to finish in the top-three. With weekends like that, the results will definitely come and with our history at Bristol we feel confident we can fight for our first top-five of the season this weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway.” – Chris Gabehart
