Finishes 35th In Texas After Lap-60 Incident

NASCAR XFINITY Series – Texas 300
November 4, 2017 – Kansas Speedway
No. 33 Rain-X / Advance Auto Parts Chevrolet Camaro

Brandon Jones and the No. 33 Rain-X / Advance Auto Parts Chevrolet team finished 35th at Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday night. After racing his way into the top 10, Jones sustained significant damage to the front-end of his Chevrolet during a lap 60 incident on the backstretch, to bring an early end to his race.

“I’ll have to go back and look at the replays to see what happened to cut our night short tonight, but no matter what, it was a disappointing finish to our race. The No. 33 Rain-X / Advance Auto Parts Chevy was fast, and we had just gotten it to loosen up enough to be able to drive around traffic like I wanted it too. I’m not sure if the No. 5 car got shoved up or just drifted up into us, but it happened so fast that there was nowhere for me to go. We were climbing up into the top 10 at that point, so this really is a terrible way to end what could have been a great night for us.”

With just two races remaining in the 2017 season, the XFINITY Series will return to Phoenix Raceway on Saturday, November 11 for the Ticket Galaxy 200. NBC will carry a live broadcast of the event beginning at 3:30 p.m. ET, while radio coverage will be provided by MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90.
