Jones Earns Third Place Finish in ARCA Standings

With the 63rd ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards season in the rear view mirror it’s time for teams to converge for one final event before the flip of the calendar and the beginning of a new season.

Next up, the ARCA Championship Awards Banquet on Saturday, December 10th. Once again the festivities will take place alongside the Performance Racing Industry’s annual convention and trade show in downtown Indianapolis.

The 2015 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards featured the driver duo of 10-time Series Champion Frank Kimmel and Brandon Jones behind the wheel of the No.25 Ansell-Menards Toyota with Venturini Motorsports (VMS).

Combining for 10 starts each, the pair notched nine top-5 and 12 top-10 finishes solidifying a third place finish in the ARCA Series Owner point standings.

The tandem of Kimmel and Jones provided our team with two outstanding drivers. There’s no question how Kimmel positively impacted our entire program on and off the track. Anytime you can tap into the experience of such an accomplished driver like Frank your entire program benefits. His ability to lead by example and mentor young drivers such as Brandon is just one of those invaluable assets which are almost impossible to replicate. – Billy Venturini, VMS General Manager

In ten season starts Brandon Jones earned five top-5’s and seven top-10 finishes with a season best runner-up finish coming at Mobile International Speedway during the second event of the season. In thirteen career ARCA starts since 2014 Jones has two wins and one pole award to his credit.

In addition to co-piloting the VMS’s ARCA Flagship No.25 for 10-races, Jones was busy behind the wheel running partial 2015 schedules in the NASCAR XFINITY Series (5 races) with Richard Childress Racing (RCR), the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (17 races) with GMS Racing and the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East (2 races) with NTS Racing.

Jones who started 34 races across the board finished with a total of 13 top 5’s, 19 top 10’s. In addition to his season best 2nd place finish in the ARCA Series he also finished runner-up twice in the NCWTS (Iowa & Talladega) and a career best 5th place in the NXS at Kentucky. Jones’ success throughout the season fueled late season news announcing he’ll be joining RCR for full time action during the 2016 NASCAR XFINITY Series campaign.
